Our RSR series is a high-precision, low-profile rotation stage driven directly by a brushless motor instead of a belt drive or worm gear. It's available in 50mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm sizes. Whether your application requires moderate or ultra-precision, our inventory has a suitable stage.
A high-resolution, hysteresis-free, non-contact encoder mounted directly to the rotary stage hub provides feedback to ensure correct positioning. Multiple interpolation options are available with resolutions down to 0.021 arc-sec. For very high-resolution feedback without sacrificing speed, an encoder with an analog 1-volt p-p output is available for interpolation by the controller. We have designed the RSR series to accept an optional dual-read-head encoder for ultra-precision accuracy.
A preloaded, circular crossed roller bearing gives the RSR good stiffness and load capacity within a low profile. This precision bearing also provides the RSR with its low axial radial runout and low wobble errors. To accommodate the routing of wires, vacuum lines, or an optical pathway, our direct drive rotary motor stage has a large open aperture.
